Job Description
A bit about the role...
As a Health Practitioner (Psychologist, Counsellor or Social Worker) you will have the opportunity to broaden your professional skills whilst providing evidence-based health services to students and caregivers of The BUSY School and job seekers.
This role is a permanent part time position supporting students at The BUSY School 2 days per week, and vocational supports to clients of BUSY at Work 2 days per week.
The role includes –
Provide individual counselling sessions including assessment, case formulation and intervention sessions.
Support students and jobseekers in achieving their educational and vocational goals by reducing barriers and addressing factors that may negatively impact their academic and employment success.
Identify, report and offer counselling and follow-up support in response to student protection and risk management concerns.
Assess the immediate risk level of students in crisis and provide appropriate crisis interventions, including referrals to acute services when necessary.
Liaise and work in partnership with external agencies to ensure students, caregivers, and jobseekers receive suitable support.
Collaborate with school staff to implement individual intervention plans and provide direct input where needed.
Collaboration with Employment staff regarding case management and return to work of Jobseekers.

Competitive, above award salary; Circa $82k (FTE) based on experience and qualifications + super + NFP salary sacrifice + casual loading

Desired Skills and Experience
A bit about you…
Registration / accreditation as a psychologist, social worker, or counsellor
Ideally you will have a minimum of 6 months experience providing health services, have a strong client focus and demonstrated ability to provide high quality assessments and evidence-based interventions
A good sense of humour
Bonus points if you have a therapy dog or a dog that could be trained as a therapy dog
