About the Role…

To oversee and supervise the Mentoring team on a daily basis to ensure that the activities required in meeting the contractual obligations and benchmarks of BUSY At Work’s Australian Apprenticeship Support Services (AASS), Mentoring and Personal Supports obligations are carried out accurately and to a high standard.  This position will act as a first port of call to provide advice to team members and escalate issues where necessary to the Mentoring Manager – AASS.

This role is full time, fixed term for 2 years with possibility of extension, based anywhere in QLD with the ability to travel when required throughout the state.

Desired Skills and Experience

A bit about you...

  • Qualifications or currently studying either social work, counselling or psychology
  • Formal studies in the area of coaching or mentoring
  • In the absence of existing suitable qualifications; prepared to undertake a Diploma of Counselling or similar within the first year of employment
  • Prior experience in leading and supervising teams, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and support team members to achieve their goals.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mentoring principles, techniques, and best practices, with a track record of supporting individuals to achieve their personal and professional goals.
  • Experience in providing mentorship to Australian Apprentices or individuals facing barriers to education or employment is highly desirable
  • Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check and National Police Check
