Job Description

A bit about the role...

This is a newly created position to support the growth of The BUSY Group. You will provide generalist human resource and legislative advice to support our employees and leaders across The BUSY Group, support operational employment issues industrial and employee relations with key stakeholders. 

This exciting role will give you the ability to work autonomously when undertaking the day-to-day duties whilst collaborating with the broader HR team on current initiatives and projects. Our team of 5 is excited to grow into 6 with someone who can hit the ground running with operational HR tasks, Employment Relations queries and the ability support, performance and grievance matters with confidence. 

This position is permanent full time based from our Southport or Brisbane office.

Even though no one day is never the same…what would a typical day look like?

  • Providing advice on all facets of industrial relations and employee issues
  • Working within the people and culture team on projects to improve employee experience or increase organisational performance 
  • Review and manage employment contracts, variations for employment and personnel records
  • Maintaining the Human Resources Information System
  • Managing operational employment related issues with key stakeholders
  • Providing coaching and advice as well as developing, reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures in line with employment legislation

Desired Skills and Experience

A bit about you…

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in a people and culture role.
  • Essential Tertiary qualification in HR, Business or another related discipline. 
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment laws and regulations
  • Some travel may be required to local sites when conducting onsite ER/IR matters.
  • Ability to obtain a police check with no disclosable outcomes and Blue Card.
