Job Description

A bit about the role...

As a Health Practitioner (Psychologist, Counsellor or Social Worker) you will have the opportunity to broaden your professional skills whilst providing evidence-based health services to jobseekers of the BUSY Group employment providers.

This role is a part time- maximum term until 24 December 2026 supporting jobseekers in Palm Beach and Tweed Heads, 2 days per week. There is an opportunity for extension and permanency based on demonstrated performance, service growth and sustained utilisation.

The role includes –

  • Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial, vocational and mental health assessments to identify barriers impacting employment and participation.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions and personalised support plans that promote wellbeing, work readiness and sustainable employment outcomes.
  • Support jobseekers to identify vocational goals, build confidence and develop practical strategies to obtain, maintain or return to employment.
  • Complete risk assessments, safety planning and appropriate referrals to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
  • Facilitate psychoeducation, skills development and group interventions focused on resilience, emotional regulation and workplace success.
  • Collaborate with Employment Consultants and other stakeholders to coordinate support and improve vocational outcomes.
  • Develop strong partnerships with employers, health professionals and community services to reduce barriers and enhance client outcomes.

Desired Skills and Experience

A bit about you…

  • Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Counselling, Rehabilitation Counselling or related Allied Health discipline.
  • Current registration or professional accreditation with AHPRA, AASW, ACA, PACFA, RCAA or other relevant professional body.
  • Ideally you will have a minimum of 6 months experience providing health services, have a strong client focus and demonstrated ability to provide high quality assessments and evidence-based interventions
