The BUSY Group is inviting applications for our 20‑week paid Construction Traineeship, commencing 10 August 2026 in Laidley. You’ll earn while you learn, gain hands‑on experience, and complete a nationally recognised Certificate I in Construction — setting you up for apprenticeships and long‑term employment in the construction sector.

This program is designed to build your confidence, skills, and readiness for real construction jobs and apprenticeships.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll take part in hands-on construction activities, learning foundational skills that employers look for, including:
- Basic construction and trade tasks
- Safe work practices
- Using tools and equipment
- Working effectively in a team
- Building practical experience that leads directly into apprenticeships
Who We’re Looking For
You’ll thrive in this traineeship if you:
- Enjoy practical, hands-on work
- Are reliable, enthusiastic, and ready to learn
- Are physically capable of outdoor tasks
- Can commit to full-time hours and onsite attendance
- Are available to start on 10 August 2026
- No previous experience is required — just a willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Live in Queensland
- Have valid Australian work rights
- Be aged 15 or above
- Not be currently enrolled in school
- Not have previously completed a Certificate I in Construction
- Not have previously participated in a Skilling Queenslanders for Work program
