Job Description
BUSY At Work is growing its BUSY Business division and is seeking a technically capable Digital Advisor with strengths in websites, SEO, online systems and digital optimisation.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving practical digital problems, improving online performance and helping business owners better understand the technology behind growth.
You'll work directly with business owners to assess their digital systems, improve their online presence and build the practical skills and confidence to manage and grow their digital foundations.
About the Role
Working directly with small business owners, you’ll provide advisory and implementation support across areas such as:
WordPress, Wix and Squarespace
SEO and Google search visibility
Website performance and user experience
eCommerce platforms including Shopify, WooCommerce and Wix
CRM systems and automation tools
Cybersecurity basics for small business
AI-powered business systems
Digital workflows and integrations
Online business software and operational efficiency
You’ll support businesses at varying stages of digital maturity from first-time operators to established businesses needing stronger systems and online capability. The role also involves:
Deliver one-on-one digital advisory sessions
Conduct digital needs assessments and audits
Develop tailored digital action plans
Provide practical recommendations and implementation guidance
Support businesses to improve SEO and online visibility
Assist with website, eCommerce and systems improvements
Deliver workshops and webinars across digital capability topics
Build and maintain relationships with local Chambers of Commerce, councils, business networks and regional stakeholders to drive program awareness and referrals.
Support regional roadshows, business expos and engagement events
This role can be based in either Cairns or the Sunshine Coast and operates under a hybrid work model, combining in‑office collaboration with work‑from‑home flexibility. The position also includes regional travel and occasional out‑of‑hours commitments, such as evening workshops and weekend events. This is a fixed term role until March 2030.
