Job Description
BUSY At Work is expanding its BUSY Business division and we’re looking for a digitally savvy, commercially minded advisor who loves helping small businesses grow.
This is not your typical agency role. You’ll work directly with business owners to improve their marketing, online visibility, customer engagement and digital confidence through practical, hands-on support that creates real outcomes.

About the Role
As a Digital Advisor, you’ll deliver one-on-one advisory sessions, workshops and practical implementation support to small businesses across areas such as:
Social media strategy and content
Meta Ads and Google Ads
SEO, Google Business and online visibility
Email marketing and CRM engagement
AI tools and automation for small business
Digital customer experience
Online booking systems (e.g. Acuity, Calendly etc.)
Online branding and content strategy
Digital growth planning
You’ll work with everyone from start-ups building their first digital footprint through to established businesses looking to modernise and scale.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver one-on-one digital advisory sessions
Conduct digital capability and growth assessments
Develop clear, achievable digital action plans
Facilitate engaging workshops and webinars
Support businesses to adopt AI and modern digital tools
Build and maintain relationships with local Chambers of Commerce, councils, business networks and regional stakeholders to drive program awareness and referrals.
Represent BUSY Business at events, expos and networking activities
Contribute to content creation, success stories and business engagement initiatives
This role can be based in either Cairns or the Sunshine Coast and operates under a hybrid work model, combining in‑office collaboration with work‑from‑home flexibility. The position also includes regional travel and occasional out‑of‑hours commitments, such as evening workshops and weekend events. This is a fixed term role until March 2030.

About You
You might come from:
A digital marketing agency
A freelance/social media background
Small business consulting
Content creation or paid advertising
eCommerce or online business
Most importantly, you know how to communicate digital concepts in a practical, non-technical way. You’ll ideally bring:
Experience with Meta Ads, Google Ads or SEO/SEM
Experience with Google Business and local search optimisation
Strong social media and content knowledge
Familiarity with online bookings and scheduling tools
Confidence presenting to groups or facilitating workshops
Commercial awareness and customer engagement skills
An understanding of how small businesses operate
Experience using AI tools and digital platforms
A genuine passion for helping businesses grow
