The Opportunity

We are looking for a Project Manager to play a central role in our growth and expansion. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will manage a diverse portfolio of projects spanning infrastructure, procurement, capital grants, and new campus establishment — ensuring our expansion plans are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements.

This is a broad, hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic environment. You will work across property identification, feasibility assessments, building works coordination, ICT provisioning, procurement, and stakeholder engagement with leadership, executive teams, and Board committees.

What You'll Do

  • Lead end-to-end project management of new establishments and expansions, including building works, fit-out, ICT, and procurement
  • Develop project briefs, plans, risk management plans, and progress reports
  • Support research, business cases, and feasibility studies for future sites
  • Manage capital projects and associated grant applications, including Block Grant Authority funding
  • Oversee procurement with probity, ensuring compliance with purchasing and conflict of interest policies
  • Coordinate across WHS, risk, compliance, ICT, procurement, and finance teams
  • Ensure compliance with planning approvals and local, state, and federal authority requirements
  • Engage and manage consultants and contractors for quality delivery and value
  • Report on project progress with structured tracking and forecasting

Desired Skills and Experience

What You Bring

  • Extensive experience managing multiple complex, concurrent projects from inception to completion
  • Strong commercial acumen with high-level negotiation and procurement skills
  • Well-developed understanding of the construction industry, council processes, and state/federal authority requirements
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, including business cases and feasibility reports
  • Experience in highly regulated environments with strong compliance disciplines
  • Proficiency with project management software and cost/resource reporting

Qualifications

  • Degree in project management, architecture, engineering, or related discipline
  • Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
  • Open driver's licence

Why Join Us?

  • Purpose-driven work: every project you deliver creates educational opportunities for young people who need them most
  • Not-for-profit salary packaging benefits
  • Employee Assistance Program for you and your family
  • Growth and variety across a rapidly expanding organisation
