About The BUSY Group…

At The BUSY Group, with 47 years’ experience, we’re known for creating pathways into skills, education and employment. With 100+ locations across Australia and a growing presence in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Canada, we work with governments, industry and communities to achieve better impact.

Job Description

About the opportunity

We’re seeking a Partnerships & Growth Analyst to help shape the next phase of BUSY’s growth.

Reporting to the Director, Business Development & Partnerships, this is not a traditional sales or fundraising role. It will appeal to someone with a background in corporate development, strategy, advisory or transaction support. You’ll play a hands-on role in originating strategic growth opportunities, building relationships with prospective partners, and bringing well-formed opportunities to senior decision makers.

What you’ll do

Partnership & opportunity identification

  • Build and maintain relationships across the NFP, industry and stakeholders to generate insight, identify and develop opportunities.

  • Proactively progress opportunities that align with The BUSY Group’s growth priorities, shaping the narrative, building stakeholder support, and positioning options for internal decision.

  • Conduct targeted market and sector research to identify aligned organisations and expansion opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain a structured pipeline of potential partners and opportunities, with clear next steps, owners and status.

Opportunity evaluation & due diligence coordination

  • Prepare concise, investment style opportunity profiles synthesising:

  • Strategic and mission alignment

  • Financial, governance and operational considerations

  • Key risks and sensitivities

  • Coordinate early-stage due diligence and information gathering, working with internal SMEs and external counterparties to validate fit, risks and feasibility.

  • Support internal decision making through clear briefs, recommendations and executive ready summaries.

Stakeholder engagement & governance support

  • Work closely with Finance, Corporate Services and senior leaders to support robust, well governed growth decisions.

  • Maintain discreet, accurate records across the opportunity pipeline, including risk registers and stakeholder interactions.

  • Support preparation of internal business cases, Board briefings and strategic reports as required.

Desired Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in strategic analysis, corporate development, consulting, transactions, M&A support, or investment style opportunity assessment (ideally with a strength in opportunity origination and relationship-led stakeholder engagement; sector experience is flexible).

  • Strong analytical skills, with confidence interpreting financial, organisational and governance information.

  • The ability to build credible, trusted relationships with external stakeholders.

  • Experience coordinating complex workstreams across multiple stakeholders.

  • Are motivated by purpose, impact and long-term outcomes, not just transactions.

  • Clear, structured communication skills, with confidence presenting insights to senior leaders.

  • High attention to detail and comfort working with sensitive or confidential information.

  • Blue Card, National Police Check, and open driver’s licence (or ability to obtain).

Why BUSY

At The BUSY Group, you’ll join a purpose led organisation committed to making skills, education and employment accessible to all. In the GreenSkies team, you’ll sit close to senior decision makers and play a hands-on role in shaping where we grow next, building partnerships that expand our reach and deepen our impact.

This role offers:

  • Based on the Southport or Brisbane office, with hybrid work options and a supportive team culture.

  • A chance to shape organisational growth at a global level.

  • A mix of strategy, research, partnership development and real world impact.

  • A dynamic environment where no two days look the same.

  • 4 additional paid annual leave days (1 My BUSY Day + 3 days at Christmas).

  • Clear pathways for internal advancement.

  • A dedicated training budget for personal and professional growth.

  • BUSY Benefits program: paid parental leave, retail discounts and Fitness Passport access (QLD only).

  • Work that delivers positive impact.
