About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and detail‑driven Claims Officer to play a key role in supporting the BUSY Ability Inclusive Employment Australia program. What you’ll be doing...

As our Claims Officer, you’ll be the central point of coordination for all program claims — ensuring every eligible claim is maximised, compliant, and supported by accurate documentary evidence. You’ll manage the full claims lifecycle, from tracking and evidence collection through to timely lodgement.

Your day will involve...

  • Managing and monitoring all claim types, including Outcome claims, Ongoing Support claims, Progress Payments, Payslip Verified, Auto and system‑derived claims
  • Working closely with Employment Support Consultants, Diversity Recruitment Specialists and Workforce Retention Consultants
  • Liaising with jobseekers and employers when required to gather supporting documentation
  • Ensuring all claims meet contractual guidelines and compliance requirements
  • Keeping processes running smoothly through strong organisation, communication and attention to detail

This is a full‑time, fixed‑term role until June 2030, based in our Northlakes office (flexible location - ideally North Brisbane). Hours are 8:30am–5pm, Monday to Friday.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you...

  • At least 2 years’ experience in Employment programs with experience in claims, interpreting guidelines and ensuring compliance with funding guidelines    
  • Highly developed IT hardware and software skills in particular extensive experience with Microsoft Office suite of products, Job Ready and WFA Online   
  • Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal competencies
  • An understanding of and experience in applying the concepts of quality management and risk management with a commitment to customer service and an achievement orientation  
  • A driver’s licence and a willingness to travel when required 
  • Current Working with Children Check/Blue Card and National CrimCheck
