About the Role…

The primary purpose of this position is for the Women In Trades Specialist Support Officer to offer end-to-end wrap around support and guidance to female Australian Apprentices in male-dominated trades in line with BUSY At Work’s, BUSY Sisters specialist Australian Apprenticeship Support Services (AASS) contract. This role will assist women, employers and other relevant stakeholders to improve the commencement, retention and completion rates of female Australian Apprentices.  

This role is full time, fixed term for 2 years with possibility of extension, based anywhere in QLD with the ability to travel when required throughout the state.

Desired Skills and Experience

A bit about you...

  • 1+ years experience in a similar industry role, with strong business development skills and proven success in client acquisition (preferably in Australian Apprenticeships, VET, or employment industries).
  • High computer literacy and previous experience in business development, marketing, or promotional activities to meet KPIs.
  • Qualifications, current study, or willingness to undertake formal education in social work, counselling, psychology, coaching, or mentoring.
  • Trade qualification or demonstrated experience working within male-dominated industries.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management skills, with a focus on achieving sustained business success.
  • Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check and National Police Check
