A bit about the role…

The Regional Manager is committed to achieving significant outcomes in the delivery of the Transition To Work program in the Melbourne, Townsville and Mt Isa region by meeting performance objectives and providing quality service delivery through coaching, mentoring, and fostering high a performing team. The role will  promote and develop high performance through effective team management, ensuring jobseekers, clients and stakeholders receive quality service provision, and to ensure that BUSY At Work exceeds Government key performance indicators and contractual obligations. The Regional Manager is responsible for building and maintaining strategic relationships in the community that specifically lead to caseload growth through customer acquisition in a variety of referral channels.

So, what does an everyday look like?

  • Lead & Coach: Drive team performance across two distinct regions, ensuring job placement targets, participant engagement, and long-term employment outcomes are met.
  • Strategic Improvement: Analyse labour market trends and implement strategies to enhance program effectiveness, particularly for disadvantaged and at-risk youth.
  • Operational Leadership: Guide and support Business Managers to ensure accountability and alignment with program objectives.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop, track, and report on KPIs, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and funding guidelines.
  • Employer & Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strategic partnerships with employers to create ongoing job opportunities.
  • Diversity & Inclusion: Advocate for inclusive hiring practices, promoting the benefits of employing young people to businesses and partners.

This role is full time, fixed term until 30 June 2027 with the possibility of extension based at our Melbourne office with ability to travel when required to Townsville and Mt Isa.

Desired Skills and Experience

A bit about you...

  • Minimum 3yrs in the Employment Services Industry or Government Contract/Program
  • Demonstrated experience of leading teams, including remote and mobile teams, and capability in driving performance and meeting KPI’s and targets
  • Exceptional ability to build strategic relationships resulting in business outcomes
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to interpret a broad range of information including data, contracts and deeds
  • An open car drivers licence
  • Ability to obtain a WWCC and National Police Check with no disclosable outcomes
  • Valid Australian Drivers Licence
