About the Role…

The Women In Automotive Mentor to provide mentoring support and guidance to female Australian Apprentices in the Automotive and associated industries in line with the Motor Trades Association Queensland (MTAQ) and BUSY Sisters, Women In Automotive Trade Apprenticeship Program. This role will assist women, employers and other relevant stakeholders to improve the commencement, retention and completion rates of female Australian Apprentices in the Automotive Industry.  This role does require a decent amount of time conducting phone calls and engagement while working from home, with the combination of being in the field. 

This role is full time, fixed term until 30/9/2025 with possibility of extension, based anywhere in Brisbane on a hybrid working arrangement from home and office.

Desired Skills and Experience

A bit about you...

  • Experience working within the Automotive Industry
  • Qualifications or currently studying either social work, counselling or psychology
  • In the absence of existing suitable qualifications; prepared to undertake a Diploma of Counselling or similar within the first year of employment
  • Strong ability to actively manage relationships with stakeholders to achieve sustained success
  • Demonstrated high-level business development skills and results oriented with a proven track record of successful client acquisition
  • Ability to obtain a Working With Children Check and National Police Check
